Cojuan Harper
17 years old
Harper was standing outside a Citgo gas station there when two people wearing black hooded sweatshirts approached, and at least one opened fire wounding Harper in the chest, arm and back. The incident happened at about 5:40 p.m. in the 2900 block of East 83rd Street in the South Chicago neighborhood yesterday afternoon. Harper was pronounced dead at 6:28 p.m. at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was gang-affiliated.
Adrian Gates
29 years old
Gates was shot in the head on the 3600 block of West Grand Avenue. The shooting happened about 7:15 p.m. when a van drove up and people inside began shooting in his direction. He was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital.
Octavio Pena
31 years old
At about 11:15 p.m., officers responded to a call of an unresponsive man lying on the street in the 4300 block of West 87th Street in the Scottsdale neighborhood on Chicago's Southwest Side. When they arrived police discovered Pena unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his face. He was pronounced dead at 12:02 a.m.
