Eric Hughs was shot multiple times at a gas station at 1053 West 103rd Street just before 11:00 pm on July 9th in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side. He was shot through his thigh while he was inside a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at 11:52 p.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
