Update: More Violence in Chicago's Little Village (3)

Three people were killed in what appeared to be a gang-related shooting early this morning the Little Village neighborhood. The shooting happened about 3 a.m. by the residence of Waseem and Barry Smith on the 2200 block of South Springfield. Ogden District officers heard gunshots in the area, toured it and found the three victims. One of the victims was found shot in the driver's seat of a vehicle, while a second victim was found shot in the driver's seat of another. A third victim was found wounded lying on the ground. One of the victims, an undientified man thought to be in his 20s, was dead on the scene. The other two victims were pronounced dead at Mt. Sinai Hospital. All three of the victims have extensive criminal records, mostly convictions on felony drug charges.
