Waseen, Barry and Leon Smith were killed in what appeared to be a gang-related shooting early on the morning of June 19th in the Little Village neighborhood. The shooting happened near the residence of Waseem and Barry Smith at 2243 South Springfield Avenue. At about 3:00 a.m., Ogden District officers heard gunshots in the area, toured it, and found the three men. One of the victims was found shot in the driver's seat of a vehicle, while a second victim was found shot in the driver's seat of another. A third victim was found wounded lying on the ground. Waseen was dead on the scene. Barry and Leon were pronounced dead at Mt. Sinai Hospital. All three of the men had extensive criminal records, mostly convictions on felony drug charges.

What dose it matter if they had "extensive criminal records" this was still a murder, they were someones, son or father. It just shows how ignorant and judgmental people can be.
