A young woman was shot to death in what Chicago police said may have been a gang-related attack in the Little Village neighborhood this morning. The woman was shot while on the street in the 3900 block of West 32nd Street just after 8:35 a.m. Police have not been able to confirm that the woman herself is a gang member, but investigators believe she spends time with members of a local gang and was shot by rival gang members. Witnesses told police that the attack began when a man in his late teens or early 20s who got out of a beige car, that may have been a Mercury Grand Marquis, and had three other young men in it. The man walked behind the woman, then shot her several times, causing the woman to fall to the ground. The man got back into the car and drove away, heading south through an alley.
