Darterius Madison was wounded in a shooting night of June 16th in the yard of his home at 6345 South Hamilton Avenue in the South Side's West Englewood neighborhood. He was shot in the back and pelvis shortly before midnight that night. He was pronounced dead two days later on June 18th at 7:28 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Police say Darterius had gang affiliations and the shooting appeared gang-related.
