At about 12:10 a.m. Sunday morning, Yusuf was in the 5100 block of South Sacramento Avenue in the Southwest Side's Gage Park neighborhood when a male suspect opened fire from a vehicle, striking the victim in the back. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:49 a.m.
