A man was shot in the armpit and killed in an alley at 11717 S. Peoria Ave just after 4 p.m. this afternoon in the West Pullman neighborhood. He walked out of the alley toward the street, where he collapsed. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and pronounced dead at 4:44 p.m.
Louis was my cousin. Its so cliche to hear he was "such a good person", it really applied to my little cousin. In a day and time where we as young black men are hardened by the ills of our society, Louis as well as myself found comfort in family. Who's to say if someone deserved or deserves anything, that's not our place. He definately wasn't deservant of this cowardly act! Just looking at the news, U expect the worst case senerio. Socialization starts at home PARENTS, we MUST instill love in our children hearts.
