At 12:53 a.m., police found Muhammed with gunshot wounds to his head, thighs, groin and arm in the 8300 block of South Hermitage Avenue in the South Side's Gresham neighborhood. The suspects came out of an alley, shot him in the legs and at least one of the killers stood over him and shot him in the face. They then fled east. Cole was pronounced dead at 1:35 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Police say Cole, a CTA mechanic, had no gang affiliation.
